New Shift Tools: Drafts, Repost, Blocking, and Rex
Who this is for: Facility administrators managing per diem and temporary shifts CS use: General "what else is new" reference for shift-side features; useful for facilities asking what changed beyond the headline issues
Draft Shifts
You can now save a shift mid-creation and come back to it later. At any point during the shift creation process, save your progress as a draft and pick it back up when you're ready. Your drafts are under Shifts Mode, then Shifts, in the Drafts tab.
Drafts stay saved until you either publish or delete them.
Repost a Completed Shift
If a shift ran well and you need the same coverage again, you can repost it in one click. All the previous details carry over automatically. Just update the date, review everything, and post.
Find a completed shift in Shifts Mode, then Shifts, open it, and click Repost.
Block Providers
If a provider isn't a fit for your facility, you can block them so their applications don't appear in the future. Open their profile from Shifts Mode, then Providers, select Block Provider, and choose a reason from the dropdown.
Blocks are logged with the reason recorded. They're also reversible. If you ever want to unblock someone, you can do that from the same Providers section.
Rex, Your In-Portal AI Assistant
Rex is ShiftRx's built-in AI assistant, available in both Jobs Mode and Shifts Mode from the AI Assistant link in the sidebar. You can ask Rex how to post a shift, troubleshoot something in the portal, or get a plain-language explanation of a feature without waiting for support.
Rex works best for general how-to questions. For billing issues or anything account-specific, the ShiftRx support team is still the right call. But for most day-to-day questions, Rex can get you an answer faster.
